As an author I can tell you the journey has been tough. Ups and downs, there are no in-betweens. I have knocked in every possible door, publishers, agencies, agents; without getting a positive responds.

At first, not getting positive answers was getting me discouraged. I started slacking on my writing, not feeling inspired what so ever. Until one day I talked to two unique people I admire. One is my brother and one of my best friends. They both said things that I have carried with me since.

My brother said “if you can’t find people to believe in you, YOU MUST BELIEVE IN YOURSELF and your work. A lot of people won´t see your potential, but if you do, nothing can stop you.” This got me thinking and I realized the only one stopping me from achieving what I wanted was actually ME, instead of focusing on the negative and letting that rule my mood I started working on my determination with each fail try my determination got stronger.

If I couldn´t get published by renown publishers or get promoted by agents, me, myself and I, were going to do everything. Here is where my best friend comes in. She pushed me into promoting my work on facebook and instagram, she said “each day do something that will get you there, it doesn’t matter if it is the smallest of things, but DO IT”. I started doing this and noticed that people really liked my work, I had the potential to do something about it and get where I wanted too. So I can say that one thing led to another and now I am happy that I have been able to publish two children books.

I can’t explain in words how this feels, it is totally INEFFABLE, I am just out of this world with gratitude! The Universe aligned in due time to help me reach this goal, so thank you to the Universe, that conspired with me to be able to get here!

I started with children books but aim to broaden my scope unto fiction and poetry!
